My research uses聽Drosophila melanogaster聽primarily to study the role of RNA-binding proteins and translational control in driving developmental processes. We also are part of a collaborative project, using聽Drosophila聽to understand how oncohistones, mutant histones expressed in certain human cancers, alter gene expression profiles and produce deleterious phenotypes.
