The Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) is at the beginning stages of work to support dramatically increasing the numbers of First Nations, Inuit, and M茅tis teachers by 10,000 and to promote the systemic changes necessary in leading to more sustainable Indigenous teacher employment opportunities in all areas of the country. Made possible through generous philanthropic support by the Mastercard Foundation, the RHF will be investing in excess of $45 million towards innovative community-driven approaches to achieving these objectives.

Department of Integrated Studies in Education alumni Dr. Lerona Lewis (Ph.D. Educational Studies) and Sabi Hinkson (MATL Science/Tech '22) were featured on Global News discussing systemic racism in Quebec schools and what is needed to better support Black students.

Preliminary results of Dr. Lewis' new study (University of Ottawa) suggest systemic racism in Quebec schools is adversely impacting Black youth, and the researchers who conducted the study say some pedagogical practices need to change.

Teacher turned mission-driven entrepreneur, Philip Cutler (B.Ed.'13), was featured in interview with two media outlets this past week. As CEO of Paper, Philip used his transferable skills as a classroom teacher to establish an on-demand online tutoring service. Paper has supported 3,000,000 students throughout the United States and will be collaborating with 91社区 Education on research in the EdTech field. Philip is also a member of 91社区 Education's Faculty Advisory Board (FAB), as a philanthropic ambassador for the Faculty.
