This micrograph is the maximum projection of a z-stack obtain using a confocal laser scanning microscope of Arabidopsis cotyledon epidermal cells. The paired guard cells for the stomatal pore which control plant 鈥榖reathing鈥�. Bundles of cellulose microfibrils are visualized using Calcofluor White staining.
