This micrograph is a depth-pseudo-colored maximum projection of z-stacks obtained using a laser scanning confocal microscope of Arabidopsis cotyledon epidermal cells expressing GFP-TUB6, allowing visualization of cortical microtubules. This was a part of a project on the distribution pattern of mechanical stress, microtubules, and cellulose in primary cell walls of epidermal pavement cells.
