Join us for this special lecture by Michelle Liu on homophobia, transphobia, and anti-Asian racism in engineering design and the workplace. Their talk will address the impacts of exclusionary engineering designs and explore actionable strategies for addressing discrimination.听

Michelle Liu (iel/they/them) is a Queer, racialized, non-binary, and neurodivergent engineer (P.Eng), soon-to-be lawyer, speaker, consultant, researcher, and uninvited settler based on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation.听Engineers Canada named Michelle one of thirteen EDI Leaders in Engineering Workplaces in 2021-2022. They are the recipient of over 20 awards from various institutions for their community service. Michelle鈥檚 focus is on using their lived experiences and subject matter expertise to contribute to social justice through STEM.
