Pegah Salsabilian
With a background in planning, my Ph.D. research focuses on the intersection of transportation and health. I utilize data science, quantitative analysis, and spatial analysis to develop evidence-based strategies for promoting healthy behaviors, particularly in the realm of transportation. By integrating planning principles and advanced analytical techniques, I aim to contribute to sustainable transport and public health research, fostering more accessible and active communities.
My main research interests are in the field of spatial planning and analysis in metropolitan areas, and consequently, human mobility and regional accessibility as an integral part of spatial and regional studies loom large in my mind. In this vein, my current research aims to measure human accessibility in the Montreal region as a way of moving toward a sustainable Montreal.
