Baijayanta Mukhopadhyay MA MDCM CCFP DTM&H, is a family physician working primarily in Eeyou Istchee (Cree territories of James Bay). He also works with migrants with precarious status, queer/trans youth, and unhoused people in Montreal. Baijayanta currently serves as Director at the Office of Social Accountability and Community Engagement at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at 91社区. A faculty lecturer at the Department of Family Medicine, he has also been involved in faculty development initiatives for distributed medical education at the department. Baijayanta is also currently completing a term on the Family Medicine Specialty Committee at the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

His teaching and research interests focus on the teaching of anti-racism and other social justice principles within clinical training in the health professions. Long involved in community movements, Baijayanta works with both local and global organisations working on issues related to migrant health, environmental health, and health system performance. He has published numerous articles and essays on medicine and health for lay audiences, as well as two books.
