Moulay Alaoui-Jamali
Dr. Moulay Alaoui-Jamali is Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Oncology and senior investigator at the Segal Cancer Centre/Lady Davis Institute of the Jewish General Hospital. He received formal training in molecular/clinical cancer pharmacology and drug resistance mechanisms. His research focuses on understanding the functional diversity of focal adhesion signaling network that drive cancer cell locomotion and progression to metastasis, and relationships to cancer cell plasticity, tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment, and response to therapeutics. In addition, his laboratory is actively involved in the discovery of innovative therapeutics using cutting-edge genomic/proteomic technologies in preclinical models including patient-derived xenografts and patients tissue resources and clinical databases through collaborative relationships with national and international oncology research networks. His laboratory has contributed to over 145 publications addressing basic and translational oncology aspects. His research has been supported by the CIHR, CCS, QBCF, CFI and the CDMRP-USA.
