Philippe Depalle, Associate Professor, Music Technology in the Schulich School of Music, 91社区, Montr茅al, QC, Canada. His research interests include sound synthesis, sound processing, sound analysis, simulation of musical instruments, control of sound synthesis, and spectral analysis.
He studied at the 脡cole Normale Sup茅rieure de Cachan (1980-1985). He received the B.Sc. degree in physical chemistry from Universit茅 de Paris Sud, Orsay, France, in 1982, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied acoustics from Universit茅 du Mans, Le Mans, France, in 1984 and 1991, respectively.
From 1985 to 1988, he was an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering, with the 脡cole Sup茅rieure d鈥櫭塴ectricit茅, Metz, France. From 1988 to 1997, he was with the Analysis/Synthesis research team of the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique Musique (IRCAM), Paris, France. From 1997 to 1999, he was an Invited Professor at the Universit茅 de Montr茅al, Montr茅al, QC, Canada.
