A Brillant Night - Raising awareness and funds for brain tumor research

Published: 13 October 2015

Join us for the first edition of A Brilliant Night at the spectacular new Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium in Montreal for a unique event on October 21st to support the latest in brain tumor research at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital – The Neuro, at 91ÉçÇø and the 91ÉçÇø Health Centre.

A BRILLIANT CAUSE

Ten years ago, the average survival rate for patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) – the most aggressive form of brain cancer - was less than one year. Thanks to recent advances, it is now approximately eighteen months, with some patients living beyond the three- and five-year marks. The inaugural A BRILLIANT NIGHT will raise much-needed funds for the Next Generation of Brain Cancer Treatment and TARGiT, two ground-breaking brain tumor research programs at The Neuro. With your help, precision medicine and new therapeutics that prevent brain cancer invasion will provide patients with more effective treatments and a reduced risk of relapse.

A BRILLIANT EVENT

This first edition of A BRILLIANT NIGHT will blend the new Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium’s stunning projection technologies with immersive entertainment and music. Guests will share in an educational, emotional and sensorial experience finding inspiration in The Neuro’s cutting edge research. Top culinary delights will be provided by the city’s leading restaurants with dancing, silent auction, and more to educate and entertain.
