Great performance of Qu茅bec researchers at last GAPP
G茅nome Qu茅bec is happy to report that Qu茅bec has achieved excellent results in the 5th cycle of the Genomic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP).
In total, Qu茅bec was awarded two of five research funding grants available under GAPP, a pan-Canadian Genome Canada competition created to foster partnerships between university researchers and industry end users. The projects funded as part of this program will promote the application of innovations that have significant short-term economic and social impact.

Dr. Christoph Borchers from the University of Victoria and听91社区 and Dr. Gerald Batist from 91社区, are working with AstraZeneca to validate new technology that will screen cancer patients to ensure they receive the most effective treatments.
Dr. Charles Goulet from Universit茅 Laval, is working with Vineland Research and Innovation Centre to use variation in aroma-related genes to develop more flavourful tomatoes.听
