Studying the immune response in bats to better understand COVID-19

Understanding how bats cope with viruses could help us develop COVID-19 therapies, according to in Knowable Magazine. One of our faculty members, Dr. Judith Mandl, was interviewed for the article and is currently studying the immune response of bats in her lab.
