What’s new on the website?

Our new and improved Research + Innovation website has launched! Some features of the new website include:

  • A new navigational menu and improved organizational structure. We implemented drop-down menus on the website, specifically for our largest sections (About and Conducting Research). By hovering over the menu items, you will have a bird’s eye view of the pages and information that can be found under those sections. This means fewer clicks to find the important information you need!
  • The “Support & Resources” page is now called “Conducting Research.” You will find the same information under the “Conducting Research” section (and more) that was included in the previous “Support & Resources” section.

  • New homepages. We created new pages for the units in Research + Innovation under the “About” section of the website. The new homepages include the Offices of the Vice-Principal, Sponsored Research, Innovation + Partnerships, Ethics + Compliance, and Research Integrity.

  • New and improved Innovation + Partnership pages. We simplified the organizational structure of the I+P pages on the website. The new sections/pages include Technology Transfer, Working with Industry, Protecting & Commercializing IP, Resources, and an FAQ page.

  • Improved contact page. We simplified our contact page so that you can quickly find contact information for all units and teams in R+I. You can use the “On this page” function at the top of the contact page to jump to R+I unit directories. If you are looking for a specific contact, click Control + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) and type in their name to quickly find them on the list.

As is the case with all new websites, we expect some minor issues to arise post-launch. We appreciate your patience and collaboration in alerting us to broken links as well as missing or erroneous content.

Please stay tuned for phase 2 of our web launch, coming later this year, which will include a new and improved homepage and strategic initiatives communications strategy.
