Overview

History : The course focusses on the debates among historians of the French Revolution. Students will participate in small discussion groups dealing with samples of historical writing on the subject and prepare a major historiographical essay. A reading knowledge of French is helpful but not essential.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: any history course covering Western European history from 1750 to 1815, or consent of the instructor
