Dr. Amin Andalib has joined the Division of General Surgery at 91ÉçÇø as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in 2015. He sub-specializes in bariatric surgery, which is the main focus of his clinical practice. He is also the Program Director for Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at 91ÉçÇø.
His research interests center on clinical outcomes, quality improvement, and patient safety projects in bariatric surgery. They include outcomes assessment and risk reduction after bariatric surgery especially using large databases.
Dr. Andalib completed his General Surgery Residency at 91ÉçÇø during which, he also completed a MSc in Epidemiology. He then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at the Main Campus Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of multiple national and international associations including the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity (IFSO). He is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) where he currently serves as a member of the Bariatric Surgery Committee.
