Overview
Political Science is the study of governments, public policies and political processes, systems, and political behaviour. You can study politics from a range of perspectives – from theory, philosophy, ideology and economy, to policy studies and analysis, comparative politics and international relations.Â
Political Science is an excellent major if you’re interested in learning how groups of people govern themselves, how policies are made, and how we can improve our government policies at the local, state, national, and international levels.Â
Careers
Political scientists use humanistic and scientific perspectives and tools, along with different methodological approaches, to examine the processes, systems, and political dynamics of all countries and regions of the world. The Political Science major serves as an excellent stepping stone for fields like business and law, or for a future career in politics.
