This is a longitudinal investigation of the natural history and determinants of anal HPV infection and anal intraepithelial neoplasia in men who have sex with men who were infected with HIV and receiving highly active antiretroviral therapy. Participants were recruited (2002-2005) from outpatient clinics that specialized in HIV/AIDS care in Montreal, Canada. They were followed up every 6 months for 3 years.
