Dr. Xudong Wang
My name is Xudong Wang, which means “sun rises from the east in the morning 🌅” in Chinese. I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Civil Engineering at 91, working with Prof. Luis Miranda-Moreno and Prof. Lijun Sun. I also obtained my PhD degree from the same university in 2024.
My research leverages data to drive innovation in intelligent and sustainable transportation systems, from highways 🚗 to bike-sharing networks 🚴♂️. I specialize in applying/developing machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, and transportation network analysis to uncover insights and create impactful solutions from vast, multi-modal transportation datasets.
In my free time, I stay active through running and cycling, and I enjoy planting to bring a touch of nature into my space.
