Welcome! The IHPP provides support, mentorship, consultation and resources for all 91ÉçÇø educators wanting to know more about providing culturally safe teaching in relation to Indigenous students and colleagues, as well as educators actively involved in developing Indigenous topics and content within their courses and programs.

Please note that the resources provided are not exhaustive and will be updated periodically. We welcome suggestions and additions that you have found useful. We also invite you to drop by and visit our growing IHPP book collection. We prioritize the purchase of books authored by Indigenous peoples and published by Indigenous publishers. Books are chosen within the Indigenous conceptualization of health and include local histories, traditional plants and healing, the role of women in health, and many more.

Position statements and policies: A list of overarching Canadian, global, and discipline specific documents on competencies, frameworks, and policies related to Indigenous health and education.

Indigenous Health Conferences: Organizations, meetings and conference venues to learn about, and present on, Indigenous health.

Resources for Educators: A series of scientific, community, and interactive resources for allyship, teaching and research around Indigenous-focused topics.

Proposed Bibliography: A transdisciplinary and foundational bibliography of empirical and conceptual works about anti-oppressive and decolonial approaches to Indigenous health education.
