Interim support for researchers exposed to a lapse in grant funding.

Applicants must be full-time faculty members with primary affiliation to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and must be located at the 91社区 downtown campus.
- Applicants located at 91社区 Affiliated Hospitals or based at the Department of Pathology are not eligible (please contact your institution for guidance).
An unsuccessful grant application was made and rejected by a Tri-Agency funding body over the past academic year (i.e. Fall or Winter competitions),
The unsuccessful grant application underwent Internal Grant Review, and,
A revised application for external funding is planned to be made during the Bridge Funding period.
Priority is given to supporting student stipends and operating expenses to ensure trainees can complete their ongoing projects, particularly those听that are aligned with the Faculty鈥檚 Strategic Research Plan.
- Incoming and first-year student projects are not eligible.

$25,000 maximum per application, primarily for student projects:
- $15,000-$20,000 for student stipends, and,
- $5,000-$10,000 for operating expenses.
Funds may not be used for faculty salaries, equipment, or travel.
Funds must be used within the 1-year funding period.
If the applicant is granted an external award during the bridge funding period, the balance of the bridge award must be returned (please inform riac.med [at] mcgill.ca (riac.med) immediately).
Award recipients must submit a 1-page final report within 1 month of the end of the funding period.
