Anaphylaxis: To Better Understand and Prevent Fatal Reactions

Dr. Reza AlizadehfarDr. Reza Alizadehfar is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric at 91社区 and an attending physician in the division of allergy and clinical immunology of the Montreal Children鈥檚 hospital and Montreal General Hospital. He graduated from University of Montreal. He did his residency in Pediatrics and his fellowship in Clinical Immunology and Allergy at 91社区. He completed a fellowship in Primary Immunodeficiency and Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. His clinical and research interests include the epidemiology and genetics of food allergy as well as primary Immunodeficiencies.

Chronic Urticaria: An Update on Diagnosis and Management

Dr. Moshe Ben-ShoshanDr. Ben-Shoshan graduated from The Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv, Israel and completed his pediatric residency at Sourasky medical center in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Then he completed his fellowship in Pediatric Allergy/Clinical Immunology at Montreal Children's Hospital in 2009. He worked as a research fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Ann Clarke over the past years and was granted his Msc. degree in Epidemiology in 91社区 in 2011. In this same year he was awarded the Emerging Clinician Scientist award by the AllerGen NCE. His primary research interest is the epidemiology of anaphylaxis and immunodeficiency and he has published several articles related to that subject. He is currently a physician in the department of Allergy/Immunology at Montreal Children鈥檚 Hospital and is involved in several research initiatives on food allergies, anaphylaxis, chronic urticaria and immunodeficiency.

  2. Determine the appropriate management strategies in patients with CU

Concerns About Vaccine Allergies

Dr. Ana CopaescuDr. Ana Copaescu is an allergy-immunology and internal medicine specialist at the rank of Assistant Professor at the 91社区 Health Center in Montreal, Canada. She is a clinician-scientist at the Research Institute of the 91社区 Health Centre, 91社区. She has completed a specialized Fellowship in Drug and Antibiotic Allergy and currently occupies an Honorary Clinical Fellow in Immunology at the Centre for Antibiotic Allergy and Research, Department of Infectious Diseases, Austin Health, Melbourne, Australia. Her main interest is drug allergy immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions with an interest for vaccine adverse reactions.
