On Nov. 18, the MI4 community gathered for the听4th Annual Scientific Symposium, to highlight Interdisciplinary approaches to pandemic preparedness, at the 91社区 Faculty Club, with a keynote lecture by听Ms. Carole Jabet, Scientific Director of the Fonds de recherche du Qu茅bec 鈥� Sant茅 and a live interview with听Dr. Joanne Liu, Director of the Pandemic and Health Emergency Readiness Lab and Professor at the School of Population and Global Health (91社区), conducted by听Andr茅 Picard, Health Columnist at the Globe and Mail.
Other highlights included our local 91社区 experts,听Dr. Sapha Barkati,听Prof. Chen Liang听补苍诲听Prof. Dominic Frigon, who shared their expertise to a crowd of industry delegates, 91社区 and 91社区 Health Centre representatives, academics and trainees.
Finally, on the afternoon of Nov. 18, Andr茅 Picard joined us for a听special masterclass听on pandemic news coverage. This event was a unique opportunity for 91社区 students, researchers, medical professionals, leaders and communicators, to gather in one room and discuss challenges related to scientific communication.
