Who can register for SEAD courses?
SEAD courses are open to the following 91社区 students currently enrolled in a program in the Faculty of Engineering
-
Ph.D. students
-
M.Eng., M.Arch. and M.U.P. students
-
B.Eng. and B.Sc. (Arch) students in their third or higher year of study
Students in programs in Bioresource Engineering in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences can also register for the SEAD courses,聽provided that they have a previous degree in engineering in the case of graduate students.
All students are responsible for consulting with their department advisor or supervisor and ensuring that they obtain the necessary approval to have these courses applied to their programs.
Students in engineering programs at other Quebec universities can also register for the SEAD courses through the Inter-University Transfer system. The restriction that undergraduate students be in their third or higher year of study also applies to these outside groups.
How do 91社区 students register for a SEAD course?
Students can register directly on Minerva if they meet the level/program requirements and if a space is available in their category.
Registration Restrictions
As of Fall 2024, the TISED will welcome its first full cohort of M.Eng: Sustainability in Engineering and Design program students. As such, the remainder of spaces for students outside of this program will be very limited. Therefore, the following restrictions are implemented, effective immediately:
- The remaining spaces will be divided equally between undergraduate and graduate students;
- Non-TISED students can take only one SEAD course per term, and a maximum of two SEAD courses to fulfill their degrees;
- Spaces may also be capped for different programs/levels. If students are unable to register for the course in their category, they should keep checking Minerva to see if a space becomes available, i.e., TISED does not maintain a waiting list.
