Who is automatically enrolled?

All students who are MACES members registered for 3 or more credits and beginning their studies in September or January are automatically covered by the collective Health & Dental Plan. Certain exceptions may apply.

All other MACES members who aren't automatically covered may be eligible to enroll themselves in the Plan.

International students for whom this criteria applies are automatically covered by the Dental portion of the Plan only.

Please note: Sponsored students should check with their sponsor to find out if the Health & Dental Plan is included in their sponsorship package. If the Plan is not covered in their sponsorship package, they're still automatically covered by the Plan and may opt out during the .

Who can self-enroll?

Intensive Language course students and non-credit program students aren't automatically covered, but may be eligible to enroll themselves during the appropriate if they are MACES members. Students who have permanently opted out of either the SSMU or MCSS Health & Dental Plans in the past aren't automatically covered, but may be eligible to re-enroll themselves without penalty during the . Students in courses lasting less than 4 weeks aren't automatically covered and may not self enroll.Ìý
